Open Space Planning Ideas and Implementation Competition Launched
The Competition Phase Begins
BUGA Dresden 2033 has reached another important milestone: The open space planning ideas and implementation competition for the design of central BUGA areas has been published.
The competition invites qualified landscape architecture and open space planning firms to develop innovative concepts for BUGA Dresden 2033. We are looking for ideas that meet the requirements of a modern, climate-resilient city while sustainably improving the quality of life for the people of Dresden.
To the Call for EntriesThree-Stage Process
The process is divided into three stages:

As part of the participation competition, the most professionally and organizationally suitable firms will be selected. Up to 20 applicants and applicant teams will then have the opportunity to submit their ideas and concepts in the competition process.
From Vision to Concrete Design
With the publication of the participation competition, the next phase of planning begins. Concrete designs and creative ideas will now be developed from the overarching goals of BUGA Dresden 2033. The competition thus creates the foundation for projects that will have an impact far beyond the exhibition year 2033 and strengthen Dresden in the long term as a livable and climate-adapted city.
We will continuously share the most exciting milestones, ideas, and results of the competition on our website and social media channels. Stay tuned as we plant the future together.
