Communications and Public Relations Specialist (m/f/d)
In 2033, Dresden, the state capital, will host the first Federal Horticultural Show in the Free State of Saxony. For Dresden, BUGA 2033 is a celebration of visions and opportunities for a city worth living in—and it’s waiting for you to help shape it.
We at BUGA Dresden 2033 gGmbH are planning this unique collaborative project, which will have a significant impact on Dresden, the region, and all of Saxony.
To strengthen our growing project team, we are looking to hire as soon as possible:
Communications and Public Relations Specialist (m/f/d)Full-time or part-time (at least 35 hours per week), with a fixed-term contract through December 31, 2033.
As a Communications & Public Relations Specialist, you’ll develop communication strategies, tell the stories behind the project, and highlight how BUGA Dresden is bringing about lasting change in the region. With your keen sense for topics, people, and media, you’ll inspire diverse target audiences to get excited about a project whose impact extends far beyond Saxony.
We’re looking for you to take on these tasks
- Design, management, and further development of a targeted communications and public relations strategy
- Strategic Development of Digital Communication Channels (Website, Social Media, Newsletter)
- Planning and implementation of cross-channel editorial and topic management for print, online, and social media channels
- Drafting press releases, statements, speeches, and other communication and publication formats
- Target-audience-oriented presentation of existing background materials on complex topics in urban development, sustainability, and regional development
- Planning, organizing, and conducting press conferences and media events
- Point of contact for media representatives and handling of press inquiries
- Establishing and maintaining communication networks, as well as collaborating with partners in the city and region
- Support in the development and implementation of formats designed to engage and involve various target groups
Your Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, media, journalism, or a comparable field of study or qualification
- Professional experience in press and public relations, communications, or media relations
- Experience working with digital media and social networks
- A keen sense of language, storytelling, and communication tailored to the target audience
- Excellent written and spoken German skills
- A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong communication skills, creativity, team spirit, and enthusiasm
