Here are the events coming up soon

It’s hard to believe, but the first half of 2026 is already over! After many exciting encounters, events, and conversations, we’re moving forward with a diverse program. In the coming months, there will once again be plenty of opportunities to learn about BUGA Dresden 2033, chat with the team, and get a glimpse of Dresden’s green future.

Here are some of the events you can look forward to:

Dresden Is Colorful – August 31, 2026

BUGA will participate in the 10th “Dresden is(s)t bunt” banquet at Neumarkt from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Once again this year, the square will be transformed into a picnic table stretching several hundred meters long, where thousands of people will eat together, exchange ideas, and send a message of diversity and solidarity.

Come by, meet our team, share your ideas for Dresden’s green future, or just enjoy a lovely afternoon in good company.

WorldSkills Shanghai – September 22–27, 2026

Our first official BUGA ambassadors, Lennard Weitzmann and Marc-Aurel Spalek, will represent Germany at WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai in the gardening and landscaping category. There, around 1,500 young professionals from some 70 countries and regions will compete in more than 60 competitions.

Together with our partner, the Saxony Association for Garden, Landscape, and Sports Field Construction (VGLS), we are supporting the two of them as they compete in the WorldSkills Competition. Of course, you can also follow the competitions live. More information will follow shortly.

BUGA at the Dresden State Capital Grand Prix at the Horse Racing Track – September 26, 2026

Just a few days later, the sporting action continues: At the horse racing day at the Dresden-Seidnitz Racetrack, you can look forward to a varied day featuring exciting horse races, a festive awards ceremony, and a colorful program of events for the whole family.

Stop by our booth, learn more about the Federal Horticultural Show and the planned development of the racetrack, and come talk with us.
