Dresden Is Colorful

31.08.2026

BUGA Dresden at the 10th Banquet on Neumarkt

What makes a city come alive? It’s the encounters, the conversations, and the sense of community that arises when people come together. That’s exactly what the “Dresden is(s)t bunt” banquet stands for.

On August 31, 2026, a long table celebrating diversity and unity will once again transform Dresden’s Neumarkt, in front of the Frauenkirche, into a picnic stretching several hundred meters right in the heart of the city, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thousands of people will come together to share food, ideas, culture, and conversation under the open sky.

We at BUGA Dresden 2033 will also be there with our own table, and we cordially invite you to join us. Let’s eat together, strike up conversations, and gather new ideas for Dresden’s green future. Whether you’d like to learn more about the Federal Horticultural Show, share your ideas for livable urban spaces, or simply enjoy a friendly chat, we look forward to seeing you!

Admission: Free
Registration: Not required

More Information

With the Car

  • Follow the signs toward Dresden’s Old Town/City Center. Since Neumarkt is located in a traffic-calmed zone, there are no parking spaces available directly at the event venue.

Parking Options

Use the nearby parking garages, such as:
– Q-Park Frauenkirche / Neumarkt
– Altmarkt-Galerie Underground Parking Garage
– Haus am Zwinger Parking Garage
– Centrum Galerie Underground Parking Garage.

Neumarkt is just a few minutes’ walk from all parking garages. Due to the expected high volume of visitors, we recommend using public transportation to get there.
